Dos Pueblos rallied from a 4-1 deficit and beat San Marcos 6-4 to stay in first place in the Channel League baseball race on Tuesday.
The Chargers scored three runs in the third to tie the score and went ahead in the fifth inning.
Daniel Buratto went 3-for-4, drove in two runs and picked up the pitching victory. Luke Coffey was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Nick Noggle had the run-scoring hit that put DP in lead for good in the fifth inning. He drove in Coffey, who singled and stole second base.
San Marcos jumped on Buratto in the first two innings, capitalizing on some miscues and getting timely hits. Derek Zylstra and Blake Katsev had run-scoring hits in the first and Zylstra came back in the second and hit a two-run single for the 4-1 lead.
Buratto settled down and DP made the plays behind him for the remainder of the game.
Reliever Erik Olson struck out the side in the seventh inning and picked up the save for DP, which hosts second-place Buena (5-2) on Thursday.
The Chargers improve to 6-1 in league and 11-9 overall. San Marcos fell to 5-15, 0-7.
