San Marcos didn’t have its best day on the golf course, but it was enough to beat Buena in a Channel League match at La Cumbre Country Club on Thursday.
The Royals won 409-457 and improved to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in league.
“It was good to get the win but we need to play better golf,” San Marcos coach Aaron Solis said. “The team knows these types of scores are disappointing and we need to find our “A” game to be a successful team.”
Niels Andersen shot a 78 to earn medalist honors for the Royals.
