Hey guys, tonight was our senior night at Dos Pueblos vs Buena and we won in three. 27-25, 25-15, 25-22.
Dos Pueblos rebounded from its first Channel League volleyball loss with a sweep over Buena on Senior Night at Sovine Gym. The scores were 27-25, 25-15, 25-22.
The Chargers improve to 5-1 in league.
Eleven seniors saw action in their final regular season home match.
“Jeffrey Araki set a great first set, spreading the ball around to fellow seniors Jack Skjervem and Esteban Zepeda on the outside,” DP coach Ehren Hug said.
Senior middle blockers Kurtis Randmaa and Eli Schulman were dominant at the net. Randmaa had six kills on eight attempts with just one error. He also had five blocks on the night. Schulman one-upped him with six blocks and added four kills.
In his first match at libero, Logan Kovarick turned in a solid effort.
“His ball control was on point and his energy was not far behind,” Hug said. “Logan’s serve was nasty good tonight. He ripped 19 aggressive float serves with just one error. He embraced his position tonight and did fantastic.”
Hug also praised the back-row play of Tucker Snider and the hitting of Elliot Brainerd and Brandon Burkhardt.
