Laguna Blanca’s boys volleyball team shook off an opening-set loss to Salesian on Saturday and rallied for a 22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-20 non-league victory.
Ethan Katnic led the Owls with nine kills on 17 attempts with only two errors. Katnic also recorded a team-high in blocks.
“This is his first year stepping into an outside hitter position and has been one of our smartest players on the court, as well as a great positive influence for the team out there,” said Laguna Blanca head coach Dillan Bennett of Katnic.
The Owls improve to 4-1 on the season with Santa Ynez next on the schedule on Wednesday.
