Laguna Blanca was plagued by inconsistent play and lost a four-game match to Santa Ynez, 25-19, 25-18, 27-29, 25-19, on Wednesday night.
“We started poorly, started to come alive, then folded in the middle of game four,” Laguna Blanca coach Dillan Bennett said.
The Owls (4-2) had trouble handling Santa Ynez opposite Blake Lockhart.
“Santa Ynez is a good team and their opposite is the real deal. He pretty much handled the match from the net blocking and from the service line,” said Bennett.
Colton Johnson had 13 kills and Kiyan Mashhoon added 10 to lead the Laguna Blanca attack.
