Laguna Blanca overpowered an inexperienced Dunn volleyball team, winning 25-6, 25-5, 25-3 in a Condor League match.
Freshman Jack Copeland hit .750 with no errors for the second straight game. The Owls had only six hitting errors in the match.
“As a team this season, we emphasize two important things: pass and serve better than the other teams, and play every point as best as you can,” Laguna coach Dillan Bennett said. “We did both of those things while also putting guys in positions they have never played before, which made our guys focus on what it is they were doing on the court.
“I was happy with how our guys didn’t play down and stayed very focused on the match.”
Laguna Blanca is 10-3 overall and 3-0 in Condor League play.
