Kento Perera and Owen Lincoln played doubles together for the first time and swept their sets for San Marcos in a 13-5 loss to San Luis Obispo in a non-league match.
Travis Smelley won two sets in singles for the Royals.
Perera-Lincoln won 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
“Owen and Kento were beasts today,” San Marcos coach Jarrod Bradley said. “They communicated well on the court and covered each other on poaches. It was really an exhibition of stellar doubles play.”
The Royals handed SLO’s No. 1 tandem of Josh Milla and Luke Olsen their second loss of the year.
San Marcos falls to 6-7 on the season.
