Miles Hale stepped up and won three singles sets, and Santa Barbara High’s doubles teams took 54 of 56 games against their Ventura opponents in a 16-2 Channel League tennis win on Thursday.
Hale and Jordan Rodnick scored impressive wins over Ventura’s top player Zach Scurrah, Santa Barbara coach Greg Tebbe noted.
Santa Barbara improves to 9-4 overall and 6-1 in Channel League.
The Dons host Mira Costa on Saturday. Mira Costa is ranked ninth in Division 1 while the Dons are No. 6.
