Carpinteria suffered a 13-5 loss against Malibu in the Tri-Valley League tennis finale on Thursday. The defeat knocks the Warriors out of a CIF playoff berth. "We just could not get going until it was too late," Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant said. "We struggled with the very windy conditions and it seemed like we didn't adjust after each change over. The match was actually much closer than the score as we let a few tight sets get away from us." Carpinteria is now 7-12 overall and 2-6 in the Tri Valley League.
