Dos Pueblos, despite missing three starters, showed good balance in beating San Marcos 13-5 in a Channel League boys tennis match on Tuesday.
The Chargers won seven sets in doubles and six in singles to improve to 14-2 on the season and 6-1 in Channel League. San Marcos is 7-9, 3-3.
Kento Perera of San Marcos went 3-0 in singles and lost over four games. The Chargers won the remaining sets.
In doubles Mason Casady and Joshua Wang improved the season record to 38-1. They lost only two games in going 3-0.
“I am pleased with the team’s performance, as they dug deep to finish this seventh League match,” said DP coach Liz Frech.
