UCSB and Princeton will play a double header on Sunday after Saturday’s game was rained out in Santa Barbara.
The two teams, who originally planned to play four games this weekend, are scheduled to resume their series with the twin bill beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning at UCSB’s Caesar Uyesaka Stadium.
After having scheduled an afternoon game for Saturday, the start time was moved to 11:00 a.m. in an attempt to avoid the rain, but persistent showers caused the cancellation.
The Gauchos won the first game of the series on Friday 9-1. Starting pitcher Justin Jacome struck out seven in seven shut-out innings. UCSB (5-1) defeated defending National Champion UCLA in the game before that on Tuesday.
Princeton is 0-1.
