One bad inning cost the Carpinteria softball team in an 8-2 loss at La Reina on Thursday.
The Warriors were ahead 2-1 in the sixth before the Regents capitalized on four errors and two passed balls and scored seven runs in the sixth. They had four hits in the inning.
Sierra Diaz and Paulina Barbosa scored runs for Carpinteria (3-10, 0-2 in the Tri-Valley League).
