Bishop Diego’s softball team dropped a pair of games on Saturday at the Santa Ynez Tournament, falling to Santa Maria 11-4 and Pioneer Valley 20-1.
The Cardinals started strong, taking a 4-1 lead on Santa Maria. Isabella Gregson doubled and scored on an RBI double by Ali Everson. Sarah Leicht then walked and Kylie Koeper lined a two-run double into left field. Lindsay Bosio finished the scoring by scoring on an error after a base hit.
Gregson, Koeper, Bosio and Sophia Pearsn recorded hits in the game against Pioneer Valley.
The Cardinals’ next game is on Monday as Santa Barbara High visits Bishop Diego at 3:30 p.m.
