Santa Barbara High will have a State Finals send-off gathering for the girls basketball team at 8 a.m. Thursday in front of J.R. Richards Gym.
The Dons are making their first appearance in the CIF State Finals. The CIF-Southern Section 3AA and Division 3 SoCal Regional champs are playing Modesto Christian for the State Division 3 championship at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. The game will be televised live on Time Warner Cable.
The team is taking a bus to Sacramento.
