Santa Barbara High senior Jack Baker and senior Grant Sexton of Bishop Diego have been named to All-CIF basketball teams in their respective divisions.
Baker is on the 3A Division team. He led the Dons to an undefeated Channel League season (12-0), a 26-4 record and a CIF semifinal berth. The 6-5 forward led the team in scoring (12.3 ppg), rebounding (16.4 and assists (5.0). And, he was a force on defense, averaging a team-best 4.6 blocked shots per game.
Sexton was selected to the 5AA Division team. He was the leading scorer in a balanced Bishop Diego attack, averaging 9.8 points per game. He improved his overall game, contributing with assists, rebounding and defending. His play helped the Cardinals finish in a tie for second in the tough Tri-Valley League, advance to the 5AA semifinals and post an 18-11 record.
