Coach Mike Farmer congratulates the JV team on their first victory of the 2014 season
Last night the San Marcos JV Baseball team opened their season with a 10-0 romp over Santa Paula led by the Royals new JV Coach, Bryan Saltzman.
Fourteen hits by the Royals helped to collect the 10 runs. Nearly every player reached base and at least one single was awarded to Bryce Quezada, Louie Shalhoob, Kyle Gonzalez, Matt Neal, Nolan Cope, David McCarthy, Luke Tricase and Mason Metcalfe.
David McCarthy and Nolan Cope both had great outings on the mound collectively striking out 14 of 26 batters and only allowing 2 hits.
The Royals JV will face Malibu this Thursday at San Marcos at 3:00pm.
