Valencia used six home runs on Saturday to bring down Dos Pueblos 18-7 as part of the Easton Tournament.
Keston Hiura and Devon Davis rocked two home runs each, while Chris McCready and Hunter Holland also homered for the Vikings (2-1). Hiura and Davis finished with four hits each and a combined seven RBI.
“Our pitchers struggled to throw strikes and when we did their hitters jumped all over them,” said Dos Pueblos head coach Nick Katzenstein.
The Chargers, who scored six of their seven runs in the final two innings, were led at the plate by Luke Coffey, Michael Boelter and Dustin Demeter. Coffey went 3-for-5, Boelter 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored, and Demeter recorded two RBI.
Dos Pueblos (1-2) plays its next game on Tuesday at Thousand Oaks.
