Joshua Tedeschi and Nick Noggle combined for six hits and seven RBIs, leading Dos Pueblos to a 16-6 win over Coachella Valley in the final game of the Coachella Valley Rotary Baseball Tournament on Wednesday.
Tedeschi went 3-for-3 and drove in four runs and Noggle brought home three runs on a 3-4 day. Daniel Buratto went 2-3 with 3 RBIs, as the Chargers rapped out 17 hits.
Sophomore Kyle Owensby made his first varsity start for DP.
“He threw well and limited the damage, allowing our bats to do most of the work,” DP coach Nick Katzenstein said.
Travis Craven pitched a solid two innings and picked up the win, while Jesse Speier pitched a scoreless 6th and 7th.
