Carlos Fairbanks had three hits turned in a solid pitching performance to lead Cate’s baseball team to a 8-2 non-league win over visiting St. Monica Academy.
Fairbanks had a run-scoring single, a triple and scored two runs.
On the mound, Fairbanks went five innings and struck out seven.
Catcher Zach Ell went 2-for-2 and Duffy Montgomery had a two-out, bases-loaded single to score two runs in the second inning for Cate (2-1)
