Bishop Diego lost two close sets and dropped a non-league decision to Santa Ynez in a non-league boys volleyball match. The scores were 29-27, 19-25, 29-27, 25-13.
“We had our chances but made some mental mistakes late in the first and third games,” Bishop coach Jason Donnelly said. “When we are taking care of the ball from the service line and in serve receive, we are a pretty good team. Unfortunately those skills failed us at times tonight and it really showed in the result.”
Grant Sexton pounded 12 kills and setter Brolin Parris had 37 assists to lead Bishop (2-2).
