Dos Pueblos dominated in doubles and that helped the unbeaten Chargers beat San Marcos, 14-4, in a Channel League boys tennis match on Tuesday.
“In doubles, we started off a little slow on some courts, then got down to business after that,” DP coach Liz Frech said.
The Chargers won eight of nine sets in doubles. Mason Casady and Joshua Wang swept 6-4, 6-0, 6-1; Greg Steigerwald and Andrew Tufenkian recovered from deficits to take their sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-1.
Kento Perera went 3-0 in singles for San Marcos.
“I am definitely proud of the focus and perseverance of our players,” said Frech.
