Spencer Ekola went undefeated in singles and the Bishop Diego doubles team Dylan Pierz/ Jose Pacheco also won three sets, but the Cardinals fell short against St. Bonaventure, falling 11-7 in a Frontier League boys tennis match on Tuesday.
“Saint Bonaventure’s strength was in their depth,” Biishop coach Debbie Ekola said. “No. 2 and 3 singles and doubles proved to be too much for the Cardinals today.”
Ekola improved to 12-0 on the season while Pierz/Pacheco are 8-1.
