Carpinteria’s swim teams suffered two close losses on Friday in a non-league dual-meet with Nordhoff.
The Rangers won the girls competition 87-76 and the boys was even closer at 83-80.
Sierra Garabay, Brenda Rodriguez and Allison Wagner won individual events and joined Leticia Cruz to win the 200 medley relay. Garabay Wagner and Rodriguez also teamed with Kelly Griffin to win the 200 free relay.
The boys team also won the 200 free relay with Thomas Fly, Chris Fedderson, Sal Briceno and Malik Mehai. Fly added an individual win in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:03.75. Noah Reed was first in the 500 free with a time of 5:28.35.
