Bishop Diego ran into a hot-shooting and fired-up Fillmore team on Thursday and suffered a 54-47 loss in the Frontier League girls basketball finale.
The Cardinals finished in third place in league at 8-4. They are 15-9 overall.
“We did not play a good defensive game and we couldn’t match their intensity on their senior night,” Bishop Diego coach Jeff Burich said of Fillmore. “They shot the ball better than a couple of weeks ago when we played them.”
Jordyn Lilly scored 20 points and Hannah Rogers had 11 to lead Bishop.
