It will be a battle of No. 1 teams when Santa Barbara High hosts Ventura in a game that should decide the Channel League girls basketball title on Tuesday.
In the latest CIF Polls, the Dons (19-4 overall, 4-1 in league) remain on top in Division 3A despite losing to Canyon on Saturday. Ventura (20-2, 4-0) leaped over Camarillo to take over the No. 1 ranking in Division 1A.
In other girls basketball rankings, Bishop Diego is seventh in Division 5AA and Cate is 15th in Division 5A.

Santa Barbara (18-2 going into Monday’s San Marcos game) dropped from third to fourth in the latest 3A Division boys basketball poll. St. Francis, which beat second-ranked Chaminade last week, is the new No. 3 team. Cathedral is No. 1 and Chaminade is No. 2.
San Marcos is tied for 13th in the 3AA Division.
Bishop Diego, which plays 3A Division sixth-ranked Oak Park this week, is ranked fourth in the 5AA Division.
In Division 6, Laguna Blanca is fifth. The Owls are on an eight-game winning streak. Providence in 13th.
