David Gabel drove home four runs in Westmont’s 6-4 victory over Concordia on Saturday, the Warriors’ one win in a three-game weekend series with the ninth-ranked Eagles.
Concordia defeated Westmont 7-2 on Friday and 4-3 in the second game of Saturday’s double header. With the series completed, Concordia holds a 5-4 record in GSAC play while Westmont falls to 4-8.
Ryan Land scored the winning run in the second game on a walk-off single by Dillon Bryant. Bryant clubbed a home run in the first game.
Russell Harmening picked up his fourth win of the season for the Warriors in the first game. Harmening (4-1) pitched seven innings, allowing three runs and striking out seven.
