Morgan Hale and Jordan Rodnick swept their singles sets to lead Santa Barbara High to a season-opening 15-3 boys tennis win over Cate on Wednesday.
The Dons showed good balance in the opener. Their three doubles teams all went 3-0 on the day.
“We have a lot of new players in our lineup and I was particularly pleased with how our freshman (Miles Hale, Harry deBoer, and Matthew McClintock) performed,” Santa Barbara coach Greg Tebbe said.
Santa Barbara is scheduled to play its home opener on Thursday against Beverly Hills.
