Charlotte Monge helped set up both goals in Cate’s 2-1 girls soccer win at Orcutt Academy on Wednesday.
Monke took the ball to the end line and crossed it in front of the net, where Jasmine Paz got a touch on it. Cydney Pierce finished the chance for her first varsity goal.
On the second goal, Monke broke ahead of her defender at midfield to catch up to a long ball sent by Lucia Johnson. She crossed to Paz, who tucked it away.
Orcutt Academy scored on a penalty kick late in the second half.
