Bishop Diego roared back from a one-goal deficit and defeated Fillmore 3-1 in a Frontier League girls soccer match on Thursday.
After giving up a penalty kick off an accidental hand ball in the box, the Cardinals got goals from Ava Troiani and Jill Giannini in the first half and a second-half goal from Giannini .
Judith Angulo assisted on all three goals.
“It was a very physical game and I’m very proud of the girls for maintaining their composure,” Bishop coach Tessa Binkley said. “Every single player worked hard for this win today.”
Bishop improves to 9-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league.
