Bishop Diego goalkeeper Jessica Brosnan made a difficult save to preserve a 1-1 tie against visiting St. Bonaventure in a Frontier League girls soccer match on Thursday.
The Seraphs took a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute. Bishop got the equalizer in the 52nd minute when Annelise Morando ran onto a through ball from Ashlee Cordeiro and finished her shot.
“We had a much better second half when we really started connecting and controlling the ball,” Bishop coach Tessa Binkley said. “Jessica Brosnan had a great game in goal and had one amazing save we thought was going in.”
Bishop Diego is now 5-4-2 overall and 0-1-1 in league.
