Jessica Brosnan played a solid game in goal, but Bishop Diego was unable to reward her with a win as Nordhoff took a 1-0 victory in a Frontier League girls soccer match in Ojai on Tuesday.
The Cardinals moved the ball well and created several scoring chances.
“We really played well as a team tonight, with plenty of communication and great movement on the field,” Bishop coach Tessa Binkley said. “We are so proud of our goalie, Jessica Brosnan, with so many great saves, as well as our defensive line holding it strong for the team.
“It was such an exciting game, and we can’t wait to play them at home.”
Bishop is 8-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in league. The Cardinals are back in action Thursday at home against Fillmore.
