Seven of Tori Kelley’s 17 points came in the fourth quarter to lead Carpinteria past San Marcos on Saturday 35-30.
Kelley and Maddie Cleek knocked down clutch three-pointers in the final quarter as the Warriors came from behind to beat the Royals.
Cleek finished with six points, a total matched by teammate Hannah Galsterer. Mo Sanchez contributed four points and six rebounds.
The Warriors outscored the Royals 16-3 after falling behind 27-19 early in the fourth quarter.
“It was a good team win,” Mercer said. “I’m really happy with how they kept their composure.”
Carpinteria (4-5) returns to the court on Tuesday against Villanova.
