Amber Melgoza’s 31 points and eight rebounds boosted Santa Barbara High’s girls basketball team to a 60-41 non-league victory over Rio Mesa on Saturday.
A strong opening quarter for Santa Barbara had the Dons holding a 25-4 lead after eight minutes.
Desirea Coleman and Jocelyn Petatan both scored nie points while Coleman added eight assists and Petatan five rebounds.
Santa Barbara (16-3) hosts Buena on Thursday.
