Erika Noble scored 24 points, leading Cate’s girls basketball team to a 52-34 win over Providence in a Condor League game on Thursday night.
“The girls played a stronger Providence team — a squad with a tradition of winning games by wide margins against Cate prior to this year — and met the challenge with great energy and effort,” Cate assistant Jay Dorion said.
Point guard Elan Halpern played a solid game with nine points, six rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks. Brittany Newsome added seven points, seven rebounds and three assists.
