Rayshaun Moore scored 17 points, and Carpinteria pulled away from Villanova in the third quarter to take a 55-47 Frontier League boys basketball win on Friday night.
The Warriors pushed their nine-point halftime lead to 16 in the third quarter.
Duncan Gordon scored 15 points and established a presence in the paint.
“Omar (Miranda) did a great job finding him for scores,” said Carpinteria coach Johnny Ward.
Ian Craddock added 12 points for the Warriors, who improved to 15-7 overall and 6-1 in league.
Ward praised the play of Collin Nathanson. “He continues to give great minutes and production coming off the bench,” said Ward.
