A slow first half doomed Bishop Diego’s boys basketball team on Saturday in a 65-41 loss at Mission Prep.
The Cardinals managed just two points in the opening quarter and had only 12 points on their side of the scoreboard at halftime.
Bishop Diego did better in the second half according to head coach Dean Prophet.
“The boys competed well in the second half and never gave up,” Prophet said.
Thomas Lash tallied a team-high 13 points and Will Busch contributed 11 points.
The Cardinals (10-4) return to Tri-Valley League play on Wednesday against St. Bonaventure.
Mission Prep improves to 12-4.
