Noah Reed hit a pair of 3-pointers and Mason Picerni grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots to spark Carpinteria to a 55-35 win over Villanova in a Frontier League boys basketball game on Wednesday.
“We had great energy all game from the bench, led by Noah and Mason,” said Carpinteria coach Johnny Ward.
Duncan Gordon scored 14 points and Bryson Frazer added 12 to lead the Warriors’ uptempo offense.
“Our guards’ pressure helped push the game tempo in our favor,” said Ward.
Carpinteria (10-6, 2-0) is at Santa Paula on Friday.
