Noah Burke enjoyed one of his biggest night’s of the season for the Santa Barbara High boys basketball.
The senior guard scored 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had five steals, leading the Dons to a 78-54 win over Buena in a Channel League game on the road.
“Noah Burke came to play,” said Santa Barbara assistant Andy Gil.
The win raised Santa Barbara’s records to 17-2 overall and 7-0 in Channel League. Buena is 11-11 and 3-5.
Jack Baker and Isaiah Tapia helped the Dons break open a close game early in the second half. Tapia hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Baker scored a pair of layups to increase the lead from 32-26 to 42-26. Santa Barbara outscored the Bulldogs 27-15 in the third quarter.
Baker recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tapia scored 12 points and David Trujillo had 11 points.
“It was a solid team effort with everyone playing and four players in double figures,” said Gil.
