Isaiah Tapia and Bolden Brace were lethal from beyond the arc on Saturday night for Santa Barbara High’s basketball team as the Dons topped Carpinteria 73-52 in the quarterfinals of the Holiday Classic.
The Dons will meet Lompoc in one semifinal on Monday while Camarillo and Newbury Park will play in the other.
Tapia led all scorers with 24 points while knocking down six 3-pointers. Brace hit four treys and finished with 16 points. Jack Baker added 11 points for Santa Barbara.
Bryson Frazer posted a team-high 13 points for Carpinteria. Omar Miranda and Duncan Gordon scored 10 each.
Bishop Diego fell from the winner’s bracket on Saturday with a 64-41 loss to Newbury Park. Nick Busch led the Cardinals with 13 points and Thomas Lash had eight.
