Hannah Brisby scored the equalizing goal in the 29th minute, and Santa Barbara battled Oxnard to a 1-1 draw on Thursday in a non-league girls soccer match.
“We were not as clean as we have been on the ball and with our possession tonight, but we did come back from being a goal down,” said Dons coach Jeff Johnson.
Alea Hyatt assisted on Brisby’s goal. Oxnard took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute.
Both teams missed on good chances to score the go-ahead goal.
“Overall, it was an exciting match and definitely opened our eyes on what needs to be better going forward,” said Johnson.
