Emma Liberman posted her first shutout as a varsity goalkeeper, but Cate’s offense couldn’t find the back of the net, and the Rams and Villanova Prep battled to a scoreless draw in a girls soccer match on Wednesday.
Liberman had several clutch saves in the game and kept her cool under Villanova pressure. Junior Lucia Johnson, in her first game in a Cate uniform, was solid at the sweeper position and Brenna Geiger, who has been side-lined since her freshman year with injury, took the field again for the first time in three years and nearly scored off a corner kick as the clock wound down.
