Bishop Diego’s girls soccer team defeated Fillmore 2-1 on Saturday in the final game of the Grace Brethren Winter Classic.
Judith Angulo scored and assisted in the Cardinals’ victory.
“We had a much better game of connecting. It was nice to leave the tournament with a win,” said Cardinals head coach Tessa Binkley.
The Cardinals lost their first three contests in the tournament and now hold a 3-3-1 overall record. The Cardinals fell to Heritage 4-0 in their first game on Saturday and lost to Oak Park on Friday 8-0.
