Santa Barbara High’s girls basketball team won two games Friday at the Harold Oliveira Classic at Righetti, beating Pioneer Valley, 66-60, and Righetti, 50-24.
Amber Melgoza had solid game against Pioneer Valley, with 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and four steals. The Dons showed good balance in the win as four players scored in double figures. Jada Howard had 12 points, Jocelin Petatan scored 12 points and Dezzy Coleman added 11 points. Petatan had six rebounds and four assists, while Coleman also dished out four assists.
Santa Barbara continued its balanced play against Righetti. Melgoza scored 14 points, Howard had nine, Coleman eight and Petatan and Kimberly Gebhardt tallied six apiece.
Santa Barbara finishes the tournament on Saturday against Paso Robles.
