Macey Frazer grabbed 14 rebounds and scored seven points to lead the Carpinteria girls basketball team to a 23-22 season-opening win over Hueneme on Monday.
“There was not a lot of great shooting but we had good looks,” Carpinteria coach Dan Mercer said of the low score.
Freshman Harmony Reed had five points and seven rebounds in her varsity debut for the Warriors and Sienna Caudillo added five points.
The Warriors are back action Wednesday against Providence in an opening game of the Bishop/Carpinteria Tournament.
