Carpinteria suffered its second straight loss in boys soccer, falling to Pacifica, 4-1, in a non-league match Monday at home.
Benjie Garcia scored on a penalty kick in the 57th minute, but Pacifica responded with four goals in a span of 20 minutes.
“We had many opportunities to score, and the ball wasn’t bouncing our way tonight,” Carpinteria coach Leo Quintero said.
Carpinteria had another PK opportunity but it was blocked by the Pacifica goalkeeper.
The Warriors (4-3-0) are off until next year when they play at Channel Islands on Jan. 6.
“We will continue to fine tune our engine and make sure we have all cylinders clicking for league,” said Quintero.
