San Marcos’ boys soccer team didn’t allow a goal in four matches at the Palmdale Falcons Tournament this weekend, as the Royals finished with a 3-0-1 record.
Kyle Carter was San Marcos’ keeper in all four matches.
Despite not allowing a goal in the run of play, the Royals were knocked out of the winner’s bracket by losing a shoot out to Eastside 4-2. That game ended 0-0.
The Royals bounced back with a 1-0 result over Riverside Prep. Senior midfielder Sergio Alvarez provided the goal.
On Friday, the Royals won their pool with wins of 2-0 and 1-0. Kelvin Uribe, Enri Cortez and Austin Venizia scored.
“We were playing some quality teams, so it was nice to come out and beat some good opponents,” reported Royals head coach Rob Lauderdale.
Next up for San Marcos is Hueneme on Wednesday.
