Dos Pueblos battled a cold wind and fatigue and dropped a 3-1 decision at Pacifica of Oxnard in a non-league boys soccer match on Monday,
Pacifica led 1-0 at halftime and scored two more goals in the second half before Dos Pueblos got on the board. The Chargers drew a penalty kick and Julio Rubio converted for their lone score.
DP coach Matt York lauded the play of Rubio and Tim Heiduk in the midfield. The coach also noted the amount of games the team has played in a short span. The Chargers played four games on Friday and Saturday at the Cats and Hounds Tournament.
“Our fifth game in four days proved to be too much for our boys,” said York.
