Dayne Gardiner scored 16 points for Dos Pueblos on Saturday as the Chargers outlasted Rio Mesa 42-39.
Dos Pueblos led by 11 at halftime but Rio Mesa was able to get back in the game, cutting the lead to five points heading into the final period. The Chargers held the Spartans to just six points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Rio Mesa’s Ryan Abraham and Adam Soudani scored eight points each.
Matt Sessler joined Gardiner in double figures, scoring 13 for DP.
Dos Pueblos (2-4) opens up Channel League play in its next game on Wednesday.
