Dos Pueblos is playing against some of the best players in Southern California during the pre-league season.
After facing Righetti’s highly touted Cameron Walker a week ago, the Chargers played against L.A. City Section standout Michael Morrissey of Chatsworth at the Ventura County Classic on Tuesday.
Morrissey was a handful for the Chargers, who suffered a 77-34 loss.
“He created a lot of problems,” DP coach Joe Zamora said. “He was able to hit shots and create for his teammates.”
Morrissey scored 20 points for Chatsworth, which outscored DP 25-10 in the second quarter and 25-9 in the third.
The Chargers also had a difficult time taking care of the ball against a physical Chatsworth team.
Zamora praised the play of Brandon Burkhardt, Dayne Gardiner and Eli Wopat off the bench.
DP plays Santa Clara on Wednesday.
