Jack Baker finished two blocked shots shy of a triple-double in Santa Barbara High’s 66-42 win over L.A. Cleveland in a pool play game at the Simi Valley basketball tournament on Tuesday.
Baker scored 14 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked eight shots against a physical Cleveland team.
Guard Noah Burke provided a spark by forcing turnovers and getting the Dons into transition, assistant coach Andy Gil said.
Andrew Fay scored 10 points and David Trujillo added nine points for Santa Barbara, which jumped out to an 18-7 lead after the first quarter and led 37-19 at halftime..
Santa Barbara’s next pool play game is Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. against Triumph Charter.
